Orble vs Squidoo: Which is better?

OK. So Cib asked the question: Is Squidoo better than Orble? This got me thinking, so I loaded up some of the same Cecil the Sheep cartoons that can be found on this blog. It's therefore a fair fight.

I found the Squidoo interface and tools much faster and easier to use and I reckon the result looks greatly superior. You can see for yourself HERE.

It does look impressive, on Squidoo, but does it pay? and it does seem a lot more serious than Orble, some may just like the freedom here, although personally I do not like the repetitive and to my way of thinking , objectionable, boobs and bots, and I do think there is a lot of unsavoury content on Orble.

I like the concept of your surreal blog on Orble and I love the little dog but I'd like to hear a little more from you.

Thanks for your response, katyzzz. The pay issue will be fascinating. Rest assured you'll hear it here if I actually make a dollar.

You make a good point about freedom, though freedom from some (bad) things can be more valuable than freedom to do (absolutely) anything.

I find Orble quite chaotic and, as you point out, prone to ickyness from time to time. Squidoo seems ordered without being straight-jackety.

The little dog is called Omaha. She was nearly bitten into halves by a pitt bull three weeks ago, but she's coming good. I'll let you know if I make a lens on her. I'm thinking about it. Thanks again! P.

I tried Squidoo a while back - last year sometime, in fact - but I never quite got into it. Seemed all very chummy and you needed to be very focused in what you did with your blog scene. I might be misinterpreting what it's like, but in some ways the chaos on Orble is preferable...although their layout is a bit of a pain, and the restrictions (compared to Blogger, for example) are annoying, particularly in terms of putting code into your blog. There may be a way to do that, but I haven't heard about it.

Thank you for responding, Mike. I agree Squidoo is rather chummy and I'm sure I'll lose my nascent ardour if I can't wring a buck from it.

But the dramas I've had trying to get Orble posts up over the last 18 months, combined with the very limited income generation options make me keen to try something new.

Yes, certainly Orble doesn't appear to pay to any great extent, which is why I've tried other options as well, ones that some Orble posters don't approve of!
